Lamar tends to be a little quiet, but when asked about the future, his smile and confidence grow. Lamar dreams of a full life – a full-time job, friends, a home, and a car – things we all dream of and we all deserve. His job at St. Mary’s Villanova has set him well on his way.
After a fire destroyed their home, Lamar’s mother encouraged him to find a job and work towards self-sufficiency. He was hired at Villanova University as a part time employee, and immediately impressed his supervisors with his hard work and dedication. In 2012, Lamar was offered a full-time position, and became an official university employee, reaching one of his top dreams. Along with a bigger paycheck, Lamar receives benefits including paid time off and a membership at the school’s gym.
