Central to our work is a person-centered approach that responds to the unique needs of each individual who comes through our door. Every person is different, and Customized Employment will look different for every person. It may mean we help an employer make small accommodations to an existing position so that it’s a better fit for the job seeker, or in some cases it may mean the creation of a new customized position altogether. Self-employment is an option as well, as in the case of the talented local artists with disabilities we work with whom we aid in turning their passion and talent for art into a viable business.
In all cases, we know that no two paths to employment look the same, and we will help anyone—no matter the challenges they face—find a job that’s the right fit. We’re able to do that because of the relationships we’ve built with local businesses spanning almost every conceivable industry. We have over 500 employer-partners in the Philadelphia area, making an almost limitless variety of existing and customizable careers available to the people we serve.
