Cherry blossoms and the solar eclipse aren’t the only exciting things happening this spring: one of our participants, Rashik, just got a super cool job at the Philadelphia Visitor Center!! 

Rashik was hired as a Visitor Experience Associate, and will interact with guests by providing directions to nearby historical sites, handing out pamphlets, and answering questions that may arise. He’s pictured here enjoying a nice ride on the Big Bus, the iconic Philadelphia sightseeing bus. 

  
Jermaine Moore, a Business Development Specialist here at CIS, coached him on his first days of work and was able to share some insight on Rashik’s new position: “Rashik got to ride the Big Bus, which he was very excited about, learned a lot of interesting historical facts about the city of Philadelphia, and made a lot of good acquaintances at work, including Aaliyah, who is featured at the front desk with Rashik!”  
 

Jermaine isn’t the only CIS staff member who has supported Rashik in his first few days at work; Job Coach Isis Cooper commented on Rashik becoming more comfortable with guests approaching him for questions: “I gave him reminders to be his natural self. This was helpful and increased Rashik’s confidence.”  

  
We are thrilled about Rashik’s new role at the Philadelphia Visitor Center, and are so excited to share that he’s off to a great start!
