Give it up for William, who has worked for Aramark at local high school for over a year! One of our Business Inclusion Specialists, Trevor van Adelsberg, recently ran into Patrick, the Food Service Director who first hired William.
“Patrick told me that William is well-liked by both the students and faculty alike, and he’s doing a stellar job.” said Trevor, “The high school has been a great place for William to hang his hat.”
And the great news didn’t stop; we had a chance to talk to Patrick himself, and he gave us the full rundown of how excellent William has been at his job this past year.
“William always greets students with a smile and a helpful attitude, ready to assist the team and the students at any time, which is far from when he started; he was more standoffish and nervous about making mistakes.”
Patrick also commented on how William increased his independence and has had more responsibilities since he started.
“William began with his job coach, who assisted and coached him in his day-to-day tasks with the manager, Chantel. As he grew more comfortable with his job responsibilities, he took on additional tasks and always arrived on time for every shift, ready to help out wherever he could.”
Thank you to all who have helped William reach this level of independence at work, including Patrick from Aramark and CIS’s very own Trevor van Adelsberg!
