Kudos to Mount Airy’s Weavers Way Co-op, which recently celebrated 50 years of providing nutritious, high-quality foods in the Philadelphia area! Weavers Way was created to bring quality food to Philadelphia communities, and to give those same communities a stake in co-op ownership. Today, there are three major stores in Greater Philadelphia including the newest and largest store in Ambler, PA.

Not only do we love what Weavers Way brings to local communities, but they’ve been a standout partner to CIS as well. There are several CIS participants, including Kentu and _____ (pictured), who work at Weavers Way. They’re both hard-working and much-loved employees, and Kentu has been at the co-op for 13 years. He is even featured on the website, posing with another employee!

Weavers Way has been a special partner to CIS, fostering great relationships between CIS participants and their colleagues in the stores.

We thank Weavers Way Co-op for their commitment to providing healthy foods for local Philadelphians, and for entrusting CIS participants to join them in that mission. Here’s to another 50!
