For Lechelle, Two Jobs Means Twice the Reward

Give it up for Lechelle, who’s found a fruitful balance of community and growth while working two different jobs. Not only has she been a steady, stellar presence on the dining team at a local elementary school for nearly five years, she also sought out a second job at Whole Foods, and now splits her time between the two.

Lechelle was hired at the school in 2018, and has been a much-loved presence every since. She works hard, she knows everyone, and has a great rapport with everyone at the school, from her co-workers in food services to the school’s administrators. On a recent day, we stopped by to find her chatting with the Assistant Principal. When a shipment of school supplies came in, they helped each other unpack and shelve the shipment before they left for the day.

Everyone who knows Lechelle mentions what an amazing work ethic she has, so it’s little surprise she sought the additional job at Whole Foods. She was hired on the kitchen team and is excelling in her role. Her managers rave about her organizational skills, and everything seems to run just a little bit smoother when she’s there.

Big congrats to Lechelle! As we celebrate NDEAM 2022, check out our blog to learn more about our work and the talented people we support.
