Former Project SEARCH Student, Tessa Earns Full Time Employment

School is back in session which means our school-to-work transition programs are fully underway! These programs—like our Project SEARCH and Project Career Launch programs—provide students with disabilities real-world work experience through supportive and engaging internships, and help prepare them for future employment.

Pictured here is Tessa, a former Project SEARCH participant who did a such great job in her SEARCH internship at ChristianaCare Hospital that she was hired for the role! Tessa interned there as a Service Assistant. She’s hard-working, thoughtful, and a great co-worker, and when the internship ended she was offered employment there and has loved it ever since! As a Service Assistant, she assists in preparing and delivering nutritious meals for patients and keeps the cafeteria area orderly for guests.

Thank you so much to CIS Business Development Specialist Brandon Randolph for sending over these amazing pictures, and big cheers for Tessa: we’re so happy to see her hard work pay off like this!
