Retail Internship Gives DE Students Important Work Experience

Give it up for this awesome group of students hard at work during their summer internship at DICK’S Sporting Goods!

The internship is part of the students’ Pre-Employment Transition Services through the Delaware Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Over the course of their time at Dick’s, they’re getting firsthand experience across all segments of the store’s operations, from the stockroom to point-of-sale and everything in between.

We’re so proud of this group for the hard work and positive energy they bring each day, and we’re proud to serve them through our School-to-Work transition programs, which help bridge the gap from school to employment for young adults with disabilities.

A big thanks to our program partners at Freire Charter School Wilmington and to CIS’s own Olivia Hawkins: she’s been providing outstanding support to these students throughout the summer and sent along these photos from their internship–check out them here!
