Project SEARCH Student Interns at Doggie Day Camp

Who let the dogs out!?? We think Daniel did, a Project SEARCH participant who has the coolest internship ever, working with furry friends at a local doggie day camp 🐕!

Daniel recently completed his “Day One” at Camp Bow Wow and has been thrilled to be around the cutest animals ever. Daniel was hired as a Pet Associate & Cleaner, where he is responsible for watering the plants, emptying and refilling water pails for dogs staying in the cabins, removing trash from the ground at the entrance, and cleaning the training rooms.

Project SEARCH is a partnership that provides students with disabilities interview etiquette, resume building, and job skill development to help them transition to employment.

The cool thing about Daniel’s internship is that Daniel can also, and is encouraged to, spend time with the small dogs at the end of his shift! Check him out with his puppy friends!

A special shout out to Project Search Skills trainers Kalé Gardesey and Stephen Prouse. Their great work with Daniel during Project SEARCH cannot be overstated.

Big thanks, too, to one of our Business Development Specialists, Brandon Randolph, for shouting out Daniel and his Project SEARCH Skills Trainers! We thank you for sharing this fantastic success story 💚.
