At CIS, we love to spotlight our standout employer-partners doing so much to provide meaningful employment opportunities to CIS participants. One of them is Aramark, who recently hired not one but three Project SEARCH participants in customer service positions at the Wells Fargo Center, home to the Sixers and Flyers.
Pictured here are Aidan and Hunter, who both recently started in their new positions. Aidan was hired on the concessions and maintenance team, and Hunter was hired as a utility worker. Both are working in roles where they’re part of a team, will learn a variety of skills, and interact with fans coming to the stadium to cheer on their favorite Philly sports team.
Making these job placements even cooler is that Aidan and Hunter are part of Project SEARCH, a CIS-led program which helps high school students with disabilities gain real-world work experience through supportive and engaging work experiences. Both Aidan and Hunter will work part-time at Wells Fargo while continuing to gain vital work-preparedness experience through the Project SEARCH program.
Thank you so much to Gary Stanley, Project SEARCH Skills Trainer at CIS, for sending in this photo! We are excited to see more great job placements for our Project SEARCH students, and we’re grateful to Aramark for being a such a supportive employer of individuals with disabilities.
