We’re excited to wrap up the graduation celebrations of our four Philadelphia-area Project SEARCH and Project Career Launch programs with these snapshots from the PCL ceremony!

In the program’s second year, the student outcomes have been incredible: John’s got a full-time job as a metal fabricator at Crescent Designs; Devon’s working on the Food Services team at Einstein hospital; Siani is attending Community College of Philadelphia, and working at Bath and Body Works.

Those are just a few of the many graduates who are already working or soon to be starting jobs. In their year in the program, all PCL students got to listen to speakers from in-demand industries, work with peer mentors, participate in media arts classes at WHYY, and get real-world work experiences to help launch their careers.

A wonderful component of this year’s ceremony were the closing remarks by two of this year’s graduates, Emma and Desiree. “It has been an amazing journey,” said Emma.

Desiree echoed that sentiment: “I’m sure I can speak for my classmates as well when I say that PCL has given us the confidence and motivation into finding and getting employment in any career that we choose.”

Huge congrats to this year’s graduates, and endless gratitude to our incredible partners at the AJ Drexel Autism Institute’s Transition Pathways Program, Community College of Philadelphia, and the School District of Philadelphia.
