Give it up for Pedro, pictured here working around town as a PECO Ambassador!

Some of you may already be familiar with him: we spotlighted Pedro back in January for his job at Game on State, and for the connection he made with another CIS participant who uses an Augmentative Communication Device (AC).

Pedro truly does it all, and nowhere is that clearer than in the role he took on as a PECO Ambassador. As an Ambassador, Pedro promotes energy-saving tips, practices, and energy awareness on behalf of PECO at events around Philadelphia. This past week he had the chance to staff a table at local community event in Philadelphia, and we got to capture this cool photo.

Pedro’s work as an Ambassador hasn’t slowed him down in his job at Game on State, where he’s been employed for two years and has had a blast. Game on State is a gaming space inclusive to everyone, and they are big supporters of people with disabilities both as a business and as an employer.

Don’t look now, but October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. We’ll be spotlighting some local employer-partners who do a standout job hiring and support employees with disabilities. A little bird told us Game on State is one of those, so stay tuned to our pages for more on that!
