The School District of Philadelphia has been a standout partner in our mission to help people with disabilities find and thrive in meaningful employment.
Not only do we partner with the District on a several programs that ensure students with disabilities successfully transition to employment upon graduation, but the District is also an important employer of people with disabilities: to date, CIS has helped place over 100 individuals with a disability in District jobs across more than 40 District schools, and in a variety of positions, from teaching assistants and administrative assistants to food service workers and school climate staff.
Check out this video highlighting the partnership between the District and the Business Inclusion Center, a partnership between Community Integrated Services and the Transition Pathways Program at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute. Hit that like button, and help us spread the word!
