Last week Ivan celebrated his two-year anniversary in his job as a Floor Tech at Delaware’s Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Not only are we proud of Ivan for the way he’s thrived in his position at Nanticoke, but for his commitment to his community by choosing to work for one of the region’s leading community-centered healthcare providers.
“Ivan has grown so much since being here at Nanticoke Hospital,” said Heather, Employment Trainer at CIS. “His supervisors have stated numerous times how important Ivan is to their team.”
This marks a big milestone for Ivan personally, but also positions him as a great example for others: Ivan got his start at Nanticoke Memorial as an Intern via Sussex County’s Project SEARCH program, which provides job training and real-life work experience to youth with disabilities. Ivan did such a good job that when he graduated the program, Nanticoke asked him to stay on as an employee. He is the first former Project SEARCH intern at the hospital to be employed there for a year or more.
Jon, Skills Trainer with Project SEARCH Sussex, says Ivan’s distinguished himself at the hospital through his “hard work” and “dedicated attitude.” Ivan’s also played an important role during the pandemic, keeping public areas as clean as possible to ensure the safety of hospital employees and visitors alike. Join us in congratulating this front-line hero as he celebrates two years of serving his community through his position at Nanticoke.
