Did you know that many CIS participants work at schools around Philadelphia?

With the new school year about to kick off, many of them are busy with staff development and training sessions before welcoming students back to the classroom. One of our participants, Nate, is on his way to celebrating almost TEN years as an employee at a local school, and of course, we had to tag along!

Nate has been working there since 2016. Back-to-school jitters? Not for Nate, who says he’s ready to go! He recently completed his back-to-school training, including Civil Rights and Customer Service training.

CIS’s Katrina Shuptar commented on Nate’s experience at the training, mentioning that he did a great job, came away with new skills, and also won a $25 Walmart gift card!
