Today, we honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We celebrate Dr. King’s extraordinary legacy, and his tireless fight to end systemic racial discrimination in our country, even as that struggle continues today.
At the start of this new week, in this new year, we reflect on the singular impact of Dr. King’s work, words, and actions, and his vision for a nation and a world in which we all stand beside one another as equals.
That vision is at the heart of our mission, and guides us in our work supporting people with disabilities, and advocating for their right to equal access, living wages, and meaningful, sustaining work.
The realization of that vision begins in the work we do in the communities we live in, and as ever, we look ahead with hopefulness, remembering Dr. King’s affirmation that “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”
