Join us in giving a big congratulations to Michelle, who’s truly thriving in her job at a garden center in Delaware.

This story comes to us from our own Jon Frey, Manager of Employment Training Services in Sussex County. He wrote in to share these fantastic pictures of Michelle, who’s been employed at the garden center since February. She’s taken to the job like flowers to sunlight, and is doing so great at work that her manager added an additional day to her schedule.

Michelle does it all at the center, “dead head-ing” flowers, picking weeds from the potted plants, and keeping them free of dead leaves. Her Primary Job Coach described Michelle as deeply caring and empathetic, not only towards people but to the flowers and plants she cares for as well. The great she’s given them has meant that many of them have been saved from being discarded, a fact that Michelle takes great pride in.

We are so happy to see her finding so much meaning in her work, and we’re so proud of the great job she’s doing at the garden center.

Congrats, Michelle!!
