School’s back in session, and Maddie is doing her part to welcome students back, helping with kitchen, cafeteria, and meal-prep for the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District. She was hired by The Nutrition Group, which seeks to bring a taste of home to the District’s kitchens. 

Last Tuesday, Maddie stepped through the school doors for her first day of work, and brings a  wealth of culinary experience to her new position: Maddie’s been working in the kitchen at Springfield, PA’s beloved family-run eatery, Sleepy Hollow Delly, since 2018, perfecting their potato salad recipe and serving up a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads, and wraps.

Maddie has shined in that position: she’s known as an excellent employee, and has developed a close-knit relationship with her co-workers. Now she’s looking forward to bringing her hard work and her warmth to the kitchen at Strath Haven.

Congrats to Maddie on her new position, and to CIS participants in school district jobs throughout the area who are helping ensure a safe and smooth re-opening.
