We continue our celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month by honoring Lior, who was named August’s Employee of the Month at the Whole Foods where he works.

Lior has excelled at his job since he was hired in 2018: prior to August, he had already been recognized several times for his great work. But it is clear from those who know and work with him that this honor not only recognizes his outstanding performance, but also the impact he has as a person on those around him.

“He’s just a spectacular guy,” said Trevor Van Adelsberg, Business Development Specialist at CIS. “Anyone who works with him will tell you that. He’s genuine, he works hard, he has a great attitude, and he’s incredibly efficient at his job.”

Lior works in the Prepared Foods department, and has had a transformative effect since he began working there. His manager described him as a lynchpin in the community of employees in the department, and credited him with “single-handedly” turning around the dish-room due to his hard work and the way he brings people together.

“He’s doing so much more than washing dishes,” said Van Adelsberg. “He re-organized the whole environment, and by doing his job so well he really keeps the other stations moving well. He’s unflappable.”

We are so proud of Lior for receiving this honor, and for bringing an infectious energy to his work that has a positive impact on everyone around him.
