NDEAM is all about workers with disabilities helping power the recovery, and we can’t think of a better example than James and his job at Citizens Bank Park, working on behalf of America’s favorite pastime.

When baseball came back, it brought some much needed levity after the heaviness of the last couple years. James was at the heart of it, hired to work at Phillies games this summer, where he ran a concession stand.

James made fast friends with his co-workers. He loved the job and the nights at the ballpark, and became a familiar face to fans as the Phillies made a push for the playoffs.

Though the Phillies didn’t quite get there, James’s manager said that James starred in his role: he kept a clean and well-stocked cart, and always contributed to a positive atmosphere at the park.

Hats off to James, and the part he’s played in bringing baseball back to Philly’s fans!
