2024 is the year of progress, and one of our Delaware participants is already embodying that ethos in her new job. Gloria, a new employee at Micheal’s, was recognized by her our own Kate Holzbaur as going above and beyond!

In October, Gloria started as a temp-to-hire employee, and her work ethic helped her beat out other temporary employees for a permanent position. She has made amazing strides learning how to use a scanner, stock shelves, and having a great repertoire with customers.

Not only was Gloria tasked with stocking, but she is also quickly learning the not so easy task of reading planograms and setting up endcap displays at the store. Recently, she learned how to build shelves in displays and how to stock them using both her planogram and scanner, adding to her already diverse skill set at work.

CIS Case Manager Kate Holzbaur wrote, “Gloria loves her job and is so happy to be trusted with a task few other employees know how or have been trusted to perform!”

Stupendous, job, Gloria—what a way to start off 2024!
