As someone who wants to be a force for good in the world, Allan has found just the right fit in his job at Attic Brewing Company, in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood. The local brewery is believed to be the first in the area since the early 1900s, and pairs their beers with a commitment to positively impacting their community and the environment: a portion of their profits are donated to Germantown arts and community organizations, and they forefront sustainability in all aspects of their operations.

Allan joined the team in January as part of the cleaning and set-up crew, getting the place ready for the evening crowds. He brings an ethos of positivity to his work and to his interactions with others, and has become a much-loved presence at the brewery: he’s a big fan of Bruce Springsteen, so when “Glory Days” begins playing through the speakers on Tuesday afternoons, the Attic crew knows that Allan’s on the job.

We’re so proud of Allan for his work at Attic, and grateful that he’s found such a perfect fit: a on a blue wall in the brewery’s taproom are black and white portraits of the Attic family, and Allan’s hangs right there at the top, surrounded by the great community that he’s become a part of.
