National Disability Employment Awareness Month is in its final stretch, and we’re encouraging you to hit that like button to cheer on Domere and his excellent employer, Broad and Brew.

Domere is coming up on two years in his job at the local Philly favorite for bites and beers, and he couldn’t have a more supportive employer. Since he started working there in December 2021, he’s also sought out and excelled in internships at a local independent bookstore and Temple’s WHIP radio station. Board and Brew has been tremendously supportive of his initiative, encouraging him to take advantage of those opportunities and working with him to build a work schedule that allows for them.

His coach Mikial recently said, “Domere’s support team has reported that he has been clocking in on time routinely, taking on additional hours when needed or requested, and providing great support as a primary dish and utility worker. Additionally, his staff mentioned Domere is one of the most supportive workers at Board and Brew, and continues to improve.”

We’re so proud of Domere for excelling in his job while expanding his skill-set, and grateful to Board and Brew for all they do to increase access, equity, and opportunities for employees with disabilities.
