We are thrilled to spotlight James Senger, an Employment Trainer here at CIS. James’ team wanted to recognize him for the care and compassion he showed to Joe, a participant on his caseload, while Joe was sick and out of work.
James really went above and beyond, reaching out to Joe’s family and Joe’s employer, and coordinating with various agencies to ensure that Joe received the support he was entitled to while unable to work. James consistently checked in with Joe and Joe’s family to keep his spirits up, even taking him out to lunch, and kept in touch with Joe’s employer to make sure his job would be waiting for him when Joe was healthy again.
Sure enough, Joe recovered from his illness, and on March 3rd went back to work. James was right there alongside him, specially requesting to coach Joe on his first day back to ensure a smooth transition. Diane Haggerty, our Manager of Employment Services, put it best when she said, “James really deserves this acknowledgment for his true commitment to those we serve, especially Joe!”
Congrats James, and thanks for your outstanding support of our participants!
