Did you know that the very first Employee Appreciation Day was in 1995? Now, almost 30 years later, employees everywhere are still being celebrated for their hard work, like our participants!

Last month, two of our participants received praise and even won some prizes for employee appreciation month at their jobs, and they were happy to pose for a quick photo. Najee and Christian were both recognized, and we could not be prouder.

Najee recently started his position at @lasalleuniv at the beginning of the year, and is already becoming a critical part of his team. His manager praised Najee for being a pleasure to work with and for always showing up on time and staying on top of his tasks. During his Employee Appreciation Luncheon, he won the raffle for an Amazon Echo Dot!
Najee’s Job Coach, Tamai also mentioned how great Najee is doing at work:

“I am extremely proud of Najee as he is a hard worker and is well-liked by everyone here. They often tell me about his excellent work, and I am happy his efforts are recognized. Congratulations!”

Not to be outdone, CIS participant Christian has been employed through Bon Appetit at the University of Pennsylvania or more than a year now, and his coworkers and managers made sure he knew he was appreciated by writing him a personal card of appreciation that his whole team signed.

We are so happy to see these two participants celebrated at work, and we are excited to see their progress!
