Give it up for Deshawn, who ended the summer a huge winner when he was named Athlete of the Year by the Delaware Special Olympics (!!!).

That’s quite a feat, but for those who know Deshawn they won’t be surprised, since he’s an incredible athlete across a variety of sports. He’s fierce on the football field, but he’s equally a baller on the basketball court, where he took home a silver medal in last summer’s Special Olympics Games in Delaware.

Thank you to Sussex County Employment Specialist, Tamara Rohlman, for sending this photo, and huge congratulations to Deshawn, Delaware’s Special Olympics Athlete of the Year. Stay tuned to our page, as we’ll share pictures from the Special Olympics Banquet coming up in October. Way to go, Deshawn!
