Give it up for our own Shelia Hitch, who helped lead this group of students from Delaware’s Brandywine and Colonial School Districts through their recent internship at Burlington clothing store!

Our Pre-Employment Transition Services connects students with 6-week paid internships at various locations in different vocational areas. Shelia did a fantastic job supporting these students in their internship at Burlington, where they learned the ins and outs of retail work and developed skills in a range of areas. Over the course of their six-week term there, they got work experience doing a number of tasks, from merchandise recovery, sorting, and processing, to learning how to work the registers.

The students had a blast, got some great work experience, and learned valuable skills that will help them thrive in their future careers. Congrats to the students on a fun and informative internship, and big thanks to Shelia for helping make this internship such a success!
