Even as the leaves on the trees slowly change color, we continue to go full speed ahead at CIS: in August and September, our crack team of Business Development Specialists placed over 70 people in new jobs across Pennsylvania and Delaware.

In this past month alone, our participants were hired in an array of diverse and exciting jobs, from an activities coordinator position at a nursing home, to a job on the Production Team at Lagos, the renowned local jewelry maker, to a variety of sales and customer service positions at places such as Marshalls, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Forman Mills. 

We are so excited for all of our hardworking participants beginning new jobs, and grateful to our Employment Specialists helping them develop the skills to thrive. But we’d also like to give a special shout out to the stores and companies who are helping our participants get back to work. It’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and we’re grateful to these employers for recognizing the tremendous value that people with disabilities bring to the workforce.
