Bayaht Lands Job at Philly Nonprofit

Happy May!

We are hopeful for warmer weather and excited about the new jobs emerging for our participants.

Check out Bayaht, who you may remember for his art being featured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art this past winter. Besides being a full-time artist, Bayaht was recently hired in a meaningful job with a great wage at Beyond the Bars, a non-profit music and career-skills program for young Philadelphians that is “dedicated to interrupting the cycles of violence and incarceration while helping our students recognize their immense potential and bright futures.”

This is a pretty big deal for Bayaht, and his face shows nothing less than that. He’s pictured here on “day one” of his new job alongside Matt (his manager at Beyond the Bars) who previously worked here at CIS 💚.

Thank you so much to our Job Development team for helping us reconnect with Matt, and who helped Bayaht find a great job tailored to his skills. A big thanks, too, to CIS’ Daniel Liu for this amazing photo!
