As the summer comes to a close, some of our participants are preparing to welcome students back to school to begin the new academic year!

Here’s one of our participants, Ashley, as she prepares for another fantastic school year. She has been employed by The Philadelphia School District since 2016—and ironically enough she is working at the same high school she once attended as a student! During her day, you will find Ashley making sure the hallways and classrooms are refreshed for teachers and students.

Ashley’s coworkers and managers are all full of praise for Ashley: “She moves quickly, and helps out wherever she is asked.” In this photo, Ashley is pictured with CIS Employment Trainer Katrina Shuptar, both of them flashing big smiles in excitement for classes to begin.
