We’re back with some fantastic photos from yesterday’s hiring event for job-seekers with disabilities, where many of them stopped by on their way out to say, “I got the job!”

Over 150 job-seekers came out, and more than 60 walked away with job offers!

The event was put on by the Business Inclusion Center, an initiative of CIS and the Transition Pathways program of the Autism Life Course Outcomes Research, part of the AJ Drexel Autism Institute.

Job-seekers were matched with Aramark HR representatives from 8 local universities and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Schools.

It was a joyful thing to see some many people walk away with brand new jobs, and it was a great event all around: job-seekers were guaranteed interviews with schools including Temple, LaSalle, Drexel, St. Joseph’s, and Jefferson, and CIS’s team of Certified Benefits Counselors were on hand to meet with anyone who wanted to talk about how employment might affect their benefits.

Thanks so much to Aramark for being such a standout partner in building a more diverse workforce in Philadelphia, and to all the CIS and AJ Drexel Autism Institute staff who made the event such a hit.
