The first part of our name, “Community,” is what we strive to embody and connect with daily. This is true not only for our participants but for our employees too! Recently, one of our Business Development Specialists, Amy Green, had the pleasure of speaking on a panel at her alma mater, Susquehanna University.

Amy has been working at CIS for almost four years now.  She returned to Susquehanna last weekend as a panelist at Susquehanna’s annual “Break Through” event which helps connect alumni with current students and showcases different career possibilities after graduation.

While there, Amy participated in the panel entitled “Out of The Lab: STEM Degrees in Non-Science Careers,” which allowed Amy to give students insight into her work at CIS, and her path from a degree in STEM into a job in the nonprofit world.

“I once attended this event as an undergraduate, and the chance to return to my alma mater and share what I do at CIS with my fellow Riverhawks is such an exciting and rewarding opportunity.”

Pictured is Amy in front of her favorite campus building, Fisher Hall, rocking a dazzling smile and a cool sweatshirt. Thanks, Amy, for sharing your work with Susquehanna University and why you enjoy working at CIS. We are so proud of you!
