We’re really excited today to feature Clean Juice, another standout local employer that’s been an enthusiastic and positive partner in our mission to empower people with disabilities.

At the heart of Clean Juice’s mission is building strong relationships with the community that go beyond simply business: Morgan, the owner and manager, was excited to form a partnership with CIS, seeing it as a natural extension of Clean Juice’s core values.

CIS participant Amira started working there in early January, and it’s been a great fit all the way around. Clean Juice has gotten a great new employee—Morgan told us Amira’s been doing an awesome job and has fit right in—and Amira is learning new skills and getting important work experience even while taking classes at Temple University.

That’s right: when she’s not part of the behind-the-scenes magic at the store, checking the recipe board, weighing fruits and vegetables, then organizing them into recipe containers where they await to be transformed into a delicious juice or smoothie, Amira is hard at work as part of Temple’s Leadership and Career Studies program.

We tip our hat to Clean Juice for being an awesome partner and providing a great and supportive work environment, and to Amira for an excellent first few months on the job.
