Isiah and Allan Make Big Impact at Attic Brewing Company

This year’s NDEAM theme is equity, and we’re extra proud to spotlight Attic Brewing Company, who walks the walk when it comes to recognizing disability as part of the equity equation. Attic hired Allan (picture 2) as part of the brewery’s cleaning and set-up crew back in January 2021. He was a great fit from the start, bringing positivity to his work, and his love of Bruce Springsteen: whenever “Glory Days” begins playing through the speakers, the Attic crew knows Allan’s on the job.

Since hiring Allan, Attic has only strengthened its commitment to integrating people with disabilities into its staff. Attic managers hired Isiah this summer (picture 1), and he’s found a great community among his co-workers at the brewery.

For both Allen and Isiah, they’re proud to know that their work is part of a larger force for good: the Attic pairs its beers with a commitment to the Germantown community and the broader environment by donating a portion of profits to local arts and community organizations, and by forefronting sustainability in all aspects of its operations.

We’re very proud of Isiah and Allan for their work, and appreciative of Attic for making the brewery such a supportive environment for all. To see more stories from our celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, head to cisworks.org/blog!
