Our celebration of NDEAM (National Disability Employment Awareness Month!) continues with this story on Danielle, a standout employee at Hampton Inn in Delaware, where she recently won a prize for her towel creation, “Crabby Abby.”

Here’s the backstory: the team at Hampton Inn recently had a team-building day, where Danielle participated in team-building activities to further bond with her co-workers and get to know everyone. Part of the festivities was an origami towel folding contest, where folks got the chance to test their art skills and win big prizes.
Well, Danielle passed, and she did it with ease, winning a Visa gift card for her towel creation. How cool!

Even cooler is the great job that Danielle’s found at Hampton Inn, and the supportive work environment that Hampton Inn provides. They are a supportive employer-partner, offering jobs that have been sustaining for CIS participants in wages, hours, and opportunities for advancement—exactly the kind of “good jobs for all” emphasized by this year’s NDEAM theme.
