This summer was a special one for CIS participant Ian, who recently finished up a paid internship with the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership.

The organization’s mission is to educate the community about the importance of keeping our waterways healthy and clean, and how individual actions can make a positive impact. Ian played an important role in that mission, working at the Partnership’s office where he assembles packets for events and mailings, helped keep track of new Partnership contacts, and did a range of tasks around data maintenance and inventory.

It’s a special thing to align one’s passion with one’s work, and for Ian, this internship has provided exactly that. He got to work for an organization committed to changing the world for the better, and he found meaning and community while developing his workplace skills. We’re proud of Ian for his great work on behalf of a great organization, and can’t wait to see what’s next!
