The City of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services kicked off their 29th annual Brighter Futures Awards yesterday, and we’re thrilled to share that three CIS-nominated individuals received awards.
The ceremony celebrates outstanding individuals and organizations whose work has expanded the rights, visibility, access, and equality for people with disAbilities, and we are so proud to see our three nominees receive recognition: Eric Kalet, with Lowe’s Companies; Kimberly McCaffrey, with Philadelphia Works; and Martin Winzack and the Tucker House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (Bedrock).
Each of our nominees embodied incredible resilience in the midst of a difficult pandemic year, are being honored for the way their work has brought hope, community, and sustenance to so many people around our region.
Congratulations to all those receiving awards this year, and head here (https://dbhids.org/…/03/BF-Award-Program-2021-new1-1-2.pdf) to read more about their extraordinary work.
